serve the financial needs of our members. Yet,
we also recognize how important it is that sensitive
information about you remains confidential. We
go to great lengths to safeguard the personal
financial information you entrust to us.
Under Federal Law, we are required to disclose to you
our privacy policy and practices concerning the
personal information we collect and disclose about
our members.

Information We Collect About You
We collect nonpublic personal information about you from the
following sources:
• Information we receive from you on applications and other forms.
• Information about your transactions with us.
• Information we receive from a consumer reporting agency.
• Information obtained when verifying the information you provide on an application or other forms;
this may be obtained from your current or past employers, or from other institutions where you conduct financial transactions.
We may disclose all the information we collect, as described above, as permitted by law.
Parties Who Receive Information From Us
We may disclose nonpublic personal information about you to the following types of third parties:
• Financial Service Providers, such as insurance companies and mortgage service companies.
• Non-financial companies, such as consumer reporting agencies, check/share draft printers,
plastic card processors, government agencies, and member statement printer/mailers.
Disclosure of information to parties that provide services to us in order for us to conduct the business of the Credit
Union, we may disclose all of the information
we collect, as described above, to companies that
perform marketing or other services on our behalf
or to other financial institutions with whom we
have joint marketing agreements so that we may
provide members competitive products and services.
To protect our members' privacy, we only work with
companies that agree to maintain strong confidentiality
protections and limit the use of the information
we provide. We do not permit these companies to
sell the information we provide to other third
parties. We do not sell information to any third
parties.
Disclosure of Information About Former Members
If you terminate your membership with Members First Credit Union, we
will not share information we have collected about
you, except as may be permitted or required by law.
How We Protect Your Information
We restrict access to nonpublic personal information about you to those employees
who need to know that information to provide products
or services to you. We maintain physical, electronic,
or procedural safeguards that comply with federal
regulations to guard your nonpublic personal information.
We work to protect your account and identification
information from unauthorized access to ensure
that account information remains secure.
In our Main office and Branch office locations, we
actively seek to verify your identity through
the use of photo identification, Personal Identification
Numbers (PINs) or other identification before
assisting you. Please don't be offended when a
teller asks to see your identification. This is
done for your protection and the protection of your account.
We take fraud protection measures (including keeping
members' PINs, social security and/or Tax ID numbers
and account number information in the strictest
of confidence) in order to protect you.
We make every effort to keep your information files
complete, up-to-date and accurate. When notified
of an error, or changes in your information, we
strive to promptly make those changes and corrections.
Web Site Security
Our Web site and e*teller account access are hosted
and secured through LIBERTY ONLINE, a secure Internet
based, frame relay communications network. Security
of your information is a never ending process
which includes:

•Proactive Intrusion Detection and Monitoring
•Digital certificates through Verisign
•128 bit SSL Data encryption
•Virus scanning and screening
•No sensitive information is stored on Internet accessible servers

Removing Your Name from Promotional Mailings
At any time, you may contact us to remove your name from the promotional
mailing lists we may share with credit union affiliated
companies, to keep you informed about products
related to your account that you may find valuable
in managing your finances. To be removed from
these lists, please send a request in writing to:

Please include the following: Your Members First account
number; your social security or Tax ID number;
full name; and address. This information should
be included for each individual member who wishes
this request to apply.
What Members Can Do to Help
Keeping your personal financial information private
helps protect you from identity theft and possible
financial loss. Here are some suggested steps
you can take to protect yourself and your personal
information:
Do not provide account numbers or personal information,
including home phone numbers, Social Security
numbers, driver's license numbers, credit card
information, savings account or loan numbers unless
you are sure you can verify the source of the
request. Never supply this information to phone solicitors.
Tear up or shred discarded papers that include account
numbers or other personal information. This includes
old statements, receipts, and other correspondence.
Be very cautious in using credit cards on the Internet.
Only use them on secure sites and with reputable retailers.
Review your account statements regularly and carefully.
Report any unauthorized or suspicious activity immediately.
